Power Tip #15 is Truth for Social Media For Women Events Success. I recently had an A-ha moment with quote, “The truth will set you free.” I realize it truly means YOUR TRUTH will set you free. Being real with yourself will set you free only when you are open to understand what your heart loves and prefers not to experience during your own life journey.
My true purpose is to serve and connect business women (and men who serve women) for success before, during and after big events leveraging power of social media authentic engagements. Being authentic and truthful is important when using social media. You will have increased heartfelt connections, have fun and feel you make a difference with those you serve. I consistently speak and attend business events in communities within a two (2) hour radius from where my home office is located. I also will drive longer distances, fly nationally and internationally to speak and attend events where I truly value the content being shared with guests.
Some of these events leverage power of social media to engage guests using Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Instagram, Google+ Hangouts and Yelp. The natural beauty of integrating social media before, during and after events is that everyone who is engaging helps increase the event excitement, buzz, inspiration, fun, wisdom shared and opportunity for those engaged to shine. This includes event founders, event producers, event team members, guests, speakers, volunteers and sponsors having opportunity to feel like making a difference for the people at the live event and also for those who are not able to attend in person.
Social media enables everyone to connect and keep the conversations going with opportunity to develop authentic relationships. These multi-dimensional conversations strengthens relationships which inspires collaboration and innovation, as long as those engaged are open to diverse ideas being shared so changes in communities (and world) may be created where we live.
It is important to join conversations in the spirit of service to others so people become aware of who you truly are and what you do in contribution to those you serve in the world. Engaging at events that integrate social media is an opportunity for everyone to share purposeful conversations for the greater good of communities and the world we live in.
When creating your social media event strategy, it is recommended to be true to your core values before sharing information with the world. Your truth empowers you with freedom to shine while also empowering others to do same for themselves.
I serve as board advisor and partner of The Women’s Success Summit VII with theme Shameless Self-Promotion in Miami, Florida on May 22 & 23, 2013, founded by Michelle Villalobos. What I love about this summit held twice a year where speakers share their truth with audience, who are both business women and men who serve women, including lessons learned with what worked and not worked when growing a business. I created the social media event strategy to be Twitter Top Trending Topic in Miami for four (4) consecutive summits. The summit achieved this because strategy focused on inspiring tweets with true purpose, fun giveaways, and sense of inclusion for everyone to shine together!
Knowing the truth about businesses and how they are run will help many people to move forward and create positive impact for those we serve.
